Hunger in Your Backyard is Broken Arrow Neighbors’ signature black-tie gala hosted on April 27th , 2024.
1 in 5 Oklahoma children are food insecure, with 46% of Broken Arrow Public School students qualifying for free and reduced lunches. 1 in 10 seniors do not know where their next meal is coming from. Oklahoma ranks 46th in the nation for food insecurity – hunger is truly in our own backyard.

The inaugural Hunger in Your Backyard gala was in celebration of 40 years of helping our neighbors in need at Broken Arrow Neighbors. The event was held in the Glass Verandah at Forest Ridge Golf Club on April 29, 2023. It was a night to remember and look toward the next 40 years of assisting clients with dignity, serving with compassion, and empowering the future.
